I enjoyed my time with Adam Coleman on the TRU-ID radio program where we discussed apologetics, the upcoming Proof For The Truth Conference and how to answer some tough questions.
If we don’t engage with the culture we effectively have no influence. It’s important for our young people to know that science does not conflict with faith. In fact, the initial definition of faith was about trust. We can have faith in God because He has a track record in the realms of design, morality and meaning. Some may disagree but there are things we can know for sure. Scientists are certain that the universe had a definite beginning. Everything that has a beginning has a beginner. If God is not who Aristotle referred to as the ‘unmoved mover’ then who or what is capable of being that primary cause. No matter which worldview you espouse, you have to account for an uncaused first cause.
Sometimes the evidence can point us towards an uncomfortable truth. But that doesn’t give us the right to disavow the evidence in order to see the world through our preferred lens. Truth is the most important thing in life and it is the most secure foundation from which to grow in our understanding of the universe and our purpose in life.
