We are the sum of our choices. This means that the choices that you and I make prior to and during the process will determine how we finish or if we finish. In this instance I’m not talking about finishing life – although how you complete your purpose is the best determinant of if you finished your life well. I’m just talking about being a finisher in your assignment in this new season.
The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Cor. 8:10-11, “And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.” Sometimes as we get into the process we can get tired or worn down but as Paul says if there was an eagerness at the beginning there was a reason for it. Don’t forget your WHY when the HOW starts to get difficult! The world is waiting on what’s inside of you to come out!
Eric Thomas said, “You cannot afford to live in potential for the rest of your life; at some point, you have to unleash the potential and make your move.” Quitting is an option – just not a good option. I know it may seem like your purpose is being fulfilled in slow motion but is it more important to get ‘there’ swiftly or is it more important to get ‘there’ successfully? Don’t be afraid to fail along the way. The road to success is paved with failures. But failures become lessons and lessons become growth and growth becomes clarity.
